How to Cook Ginisang Puso ng Saging

1. Preparing the puso ng saging

First, clean your one banana heart and slice it into thin pieces. In a large mixing basin, combine 1/2 cup vinegar and 1 cup water. Then place your banana heart pieces within. Rub 1 tablespoon salt into the puso ng saging. Soak for 10-20 minutes in the mixture. Drain the liquid mixture and wring the banana heart slices, one piece at a time, to extract the liquid. Then set this aside for now.

2. Getting the sotanghon ready

We’ll need 2 ounces of vermicelli, often known as sotanghon, for this. Soak the vermicelli in two cups of water for twelve minutes. When the time is up, drain the water and set the sotanghon aside.

3. Cooking the garlic, onion and pork

Now, add 3 tablespoons of frying oil to a pan. Add three cloves of garlic and one onion. Sauté these together until the onion softens. Then place 8 ounces of thinly sliced pork in the pan. Cook everything until the pork browned.
