Bears Expect to Sign $82.5 Million Pro Bowl WR Alongside DJ Moore

The Chicago Bears made a statement by trading for wide receiver DJ Moore before last year's NFL draft, and another top-tier player is expected to join the team in the coming months.

ESPN analyst Aaron Schatz recently predicted that Chicago would seek and eventually sign free agent wide receiver Mike Evans this summer to build around

the young quarterback who he believes will lead the Bears' offense in 2024 and beyond.

"The Bears will use the No. 1 pick on a new quarterback and invest in that quarterback by signing Mike Evans, one of the top free-agent wide receivers," Schatz wrote on January 7th, 2019.

"Evans has 10 straight 1,000-yard seasons and would pair nicely with DJ Moore in this offense.

"Evans' streak of 1,000-yard seasons is second only to Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice, who had 11 straight seasons from 1996 to 2006 as a member of the San Francisco 49ers.

Randy Moss, a Minnesota Vikings great, has also had ten seasons with 1,000 yards, though not all consecutive.

Evans' career accomplishments place him among the greatest wide receivers of all time, and the 30-year-old is far from done.
