On Thursday night, the league announced this season's starting balloting, making James an All-Star starter for the 20th time. NBA history's first 20-time All-Star is James. 

Abdul-Jabbar was a 19-time selection before James set his lifetime scoring mark last season.

This year's game is February 18 in Indianapolis.

James will be joined by Phoenix's Kevin Durant, Denver's Nikola Jokic, Dallas' Luka Doncic, and Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the league's leader in 30-point games,

who edged Golden State's Stephen Curry for the final West backcourt spot. Only 11 NBA players have been selected 14 times, including Durant.

The Eastern Conference's frontcourt will feature Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo, Boston's Jayson Tatum, and Philadelphia's Joel Embiid, the reigning NBA MVP, two-time defending scoring champion,
