NBA Legend Tells Grizzlies and Ja Morant the Hard Truth

Morant secured the 9th spot among Western Conference guards in the final All-Star voting numbers, finishing 15th in player voting and receiving no media votes.

Fan, player, and media votes determine the starters, with fan votes counting double; Morant ended up as the 9th overall guard.

Among players, Morant received 11 votes, while Desmond Bane got 22, and Marcus Smart, Vince Williams Jr., and John Konchar each received one.

Luka Dončić and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander were named the starting guards for the Western Conference.

No Grizzlies player made it in the frontcourt, but Jaren Jackson Jr. received 22 player votes, Santi Aldama got 11, Steven Adams (inactive all season) got seven, Xavier Tillman Sr. got six, and Bismack Biyombo got three.

Ziaire Williams, David Roddy, and Brandon Clarke (inactive all season) each received one vote.

Coaches will vote on the reserves for the All-Star game.

The Grizzlies, struggling without Morant, have faced additional challenges with injuries to key players like Bane, Aldama, Smart, and Derrick Rose.
